husbandry
Agricultural resource stewardship
Husbandry is the care and cultivation of crops and livestock—the work of farming: animal husbandry, crop husbandry.
The word extends to careful management of resources generally: good husbandry of the organization's funds.
Despite appearances, the word connects to household management, not to husbands specifically, though both share the same root.
