pulpit
Where ministers speak
A pulpit is an elevated platform or lectern in a church from which a minister delivers sermons.
The word extends to preaching generally: He was a powerful voice from the pulpit.
The bully pulpit is a position of authority that gives someone a platform to advocate their views—originally describing the U.S. presidency.
