Westminster Abbey
London coronation site
Westminster Abbey is a large Gothic church in London where British monarchs have been crowned since 1066 and many are buried.
It also holds the remains of notable figures in British history—poets, scientists, statesmen—making it both a working church and a national monument: Poets' Corner in Westminster Abbey, the royal wedding at Westminster Abbey.
