parson
Protestant church leader
A parson is a member of the clergy, especially a Protestant minister in charge of a parish.
The word has an old-fashioned, rural flavor—you're more likely to encounter it in period novels than in contemporary speech: The parson came to call on the sick widow.
A parsonage is a parson's residence, typically provided by the church.
