proselytizing
Spreading religious beliefs
Proselytizing is actively trying to convert others to your religion, political beliefs, or cause.
The term often carries negative connotations of pushiness or unwelcome persuasion: Nobody wants to hear you proselytizing at the dinner table.
Someone who proselytizes is a proselytizer; the person they hope to convert is a proselyte.
