lectern
Sloped book holder
A lectern is a tall, narrow stand with a sloped top for holding a book or notes, used by speakers, preachers, or readers.
The speaker stands behind it rather than sits: She approached the lectern to deliver her remarks.
Often confused with podium, which is a raised platform to stand on.
