evangelist
Zealous cause promoter
An evangelist is someone who spreads a message with missionary zeal.
Originally and still commonly, the term refers to Christian preachers who seek converts, especially through revivals or public campaigns: a televangelist, Billy Graham was America's most famous evangelist.
The four Evangelists—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—wrote the Gospels.
In secular use, an evangelist champions any cause or product with fervent advocacy: a technology evangelist, an evangelist for clean energy.
