Church of Scotland

Scotland's national denomination

The Church of Scotland is the national Presbyterian church of Scotland, established in the 16th century during the Protestant Reformation.

Unlike the Church of England, it has no bishops—governance flows through elected elders and ministers in a system of courts.

Though recognized by the state, it operates independently of government control.

She was married in the Church of Scotland.
