piety
Reverence toward God
Piety is devoted reverence toward God or the sacred—the quality of being deeply religious: Her piety was evident in daily prayer.
The word extends to dutiful respect for parents, family, or tradition: filial piety.
Piety can carry a hint of excessive or performative devotion, though the noun for that is usually pietism or the adjective pious.
