pressurizer
Reactor pressure regulator
A pressurizer is a device that maintains or increases pressure in a system.
In nuclear power plants, the pressurizer keeps reactor coolant at high pressure to prevent boiling: The pressurizer failed, triggering an automatic shutdown.
Pressurizers also appear in aircraft fuel systems and industrial processes where precise pressure control is essential.
