photographs
Images from cameras
Photographs are images created by capturing light on a sensitive surface—originally chemical film, now typically digital sensors.
The word often shortens to photos.
As a verb, to photograph is to take such images: She photographs weddings for a living.
Someone who photographs well looks attractive in pictures.
Photographs serve as evidence, art, and memory: old family photographs, crime scene photographs.
