DSLR
Interchangeable lens camera
DSLR stands for digital single-lens reflex, a type of camera that uses a mirror mechanism to direct light from the lens to an optical viewfinder.
When you press the shutter, the mirror flips up to expose the digital sensor.
DSLRs became the standard for professional and serious amateur photography in the 2000s, prized for their interchangeable lenses, manual controls, and image quality.
They have largely been supplanted by mirrorless cameras, which achieve similar results in smaller bodies.
