repatriation
Sending citizens home
Repatriation is the return of someone or something to their country of origin.
People may be repatriated after war, displacement, or imprisonment abroad: The treaty included repatriation of prisoners.
The term applies equally to objects: the repatriation of stolen artifacts to their home countries.
In finance, repatriation refers to moving money back to one's home country: corporate repatriation of overseas profits.
