lateral raises

Arms out sideways

Lateral raises are a weight training exercise targeting the shoulder muscles, particularly the deltoids.

Standing with arms at your sides, you lift dumbbells outward until your arms are roughly parallel to the floor, forming a T-shape: I do lateral raises three times a week to build my shoulders.

Also called side raises.
