clean and press
Floor to ceiling
A clean and press is a weightlifting movement performed in two stages: first lifting the barbell from the floor to shoulder height (the clean), then pressing it overhead with the arms.
Once an Olympic event, it was dropped in 1972 due to judging difficulties.
The exercise remains popular for building full-body strength: I added twenty pounds to my clean and press this year.
