enactment
Making something law
Enactment is the process of passing a law or the law itself once passed: The enactment of new regulations took months.
More broadly, enactment means acting something out—performing or representing it: a dramatic enactment of the battle, the enactment of a ritual.
Both senses share the idea of making something real through formal action.
