electrodes
Battery's metal contacts
Electrodes are conductors through which electric current enters or leaves a medium—whether a battery, a welding arc, or living tissue.
Medical electrodes attach to the body to monitor heart rhythms or brain activity: The technician placed electrodes on his chest for the EKG.
In welding and electroplating, electrodes deliver current to complete a circuit.
