districts
Mapped governmental sectors
Districts are defined areas within a larger territory, marked off for administrative, electoral, or other purposes: the financial district, school district, congressional district.
A city's districts often have distinct characters—the theater district, the garment district.
To district is to divide into such areas, though the verb is uncommon outside of redistricting debates.
