administration
Running an organization
Administration is the management or direction of affairs—running an organization, institution, or government.
In American politics, an administration is a president's term and the officials who serve under them: the Biden administration, the Reagan administration.
The word also covers the act of giving or applying something: the administration of justice, the administration of medicine.
Administrative work handles logistics and paperwork rather than core activities: administrative duties, administrative assistant.
