bedsore
Immobility causes this
A bedsore is an ulcer that develops on the skin from prolonged pressure, typically in patients confined to bed or a wheelchair.
The pressure cuts off blood flow, causing tissue to break down.
Bedsores commonly form over bony areas—heels, hips, tailbone, shoulder blades: The nurses turned him every two hours to prevent bedsores.
