tennis elbow

Court arm pain

Tennis elbow is a painful condition caused by overuse of the forearm muscles, resulting in inflammation where tendons attach to the bony prominence on the outside of the elbow.

Despite the name, it more commonly affects people who perform repetitive gripping motions—carpenters, painters, plumbers—than tennis players.

The medical term is lateral epicondylitis.
