Theodore Roosevelt
Bull Moose leader
Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th president of the United States, serving from 1901 to 1909.
A Republican known for trust-busting, conservation, and the Panama Canal, he projected American power abroad while championing progressive reforms at home.
His energetic persona—the Rough Rider, big-game hunter, "speak softly and carry a big stick"—made him a cultural symbol of vigorous masculinity.
He's a real Teddy Roosevelt type.
