hunter
Tracks wild game
A hunter is a person who hunts—pursuing and killing wild animals for food, sport, or pest control.
The term extends to anyone who searches persistently: a bargain hunter, a job hunter, a bounty hunter.
Hunter also names a type of horse bred for fox hunting, and a style of tall waterproof boot.
The hunters returned at dusk with two deer. (Capitalized Hunter is a given name.)
