Cornhusker State capital
The sixteenth U.S. president, Abraham Lincoln, is probably responsible for the greatest incidence of his name, either in direct reference or in reference to something named for him (Lincoln Memorial; Lincoln, Nebraska).
Predating him, however, are some places called Lincoln, including the county town of Lincolnshire in England.
Lincoln is also a Ford car brand, and Lincoln pennies have the president’s face on them.
