Yosemite

Sierra Nevada park

Yosemite is a national park in California's Sierra Nevada mountains, renowned for its dramatic granite cliffs, giant sequoia groves, and towering waterfalls.

The name comes from a Miwok word, though its original meaning is disputed.

We hiked to Half Dome when we visited Yosemite.

The park is a symbol of American wilderness preservation and draws millions of visitors annually.
