Tuscany's slanted landmark
Pisa is a city in Tuscany, Italy, famous for its Leaning Tower—a freestanding bell tower whose uneven foundation caused it to tilt during construction.
The city was a powerful maritime republic in the Middle Ages and remains home to a major university.
