Arno

Through Florence, flows

Arno is a river in central Italy, flowing through Florence and Pisa before reaching the Ligurian Sea.

The Arno is famous for its catastrophic 1966 flood, which devastated Florence and damaged countless Renaissance artworks.

Arno is also used as a given name, particularly in German-speaking countries.
