Malbec

Mendoza wine grape

Malbec is a red wine grape variety producing dark, full-bodied wines with notes of plum, blackberry, and sometimes chocolate or leather.

Originally from southwestern France, where it remains a key grape in Cahors wines, Malbec has become Argentina's signature variety: a glass of Argentine Malbec.

The wines tend to be fruit-forward with soft tannins.
