Chardonnay

Oak-aged white wine

Chardonnay is a green-skinned grape variety used to make white wine, and the wine produced from it.

The grape originated in Burgundy but now grows worldwide.

Chardonnay wines range from crisp and unoaked to rich and buttery depending on winemaking choices: I prefer an unoaked Chardonnay with fish.

The name often appears on wine lists and in casual shorthand for white wine generally.
