Shiraz
Fars province capital
Shiraz is a major city in southwestern Iran, historically significant as a center of Persian arts, literature, and culture.
The city is associated with poets Hafez and Saadi, whose tombs remain pilgrimage sites.
Shiraz was also historically linked to winemaking, though this ended after the Islamic Revolution. (Lowercase shiraz is the grape and wine.)
