asado
Gaucho grilling tradition
Asado is a style of barbecue traditional to Argentina and other South American countries, where beef and other meats are grilled slowly over wood or charcoal.
The term covers both the cooking method and the social gathering built around it—a leisurely, communal affair that can last for hours: Sunday asado at my uncle's place is sacred.
