Beaujolais

Light French red

Beaujolais is a red wine from the Beaujolais region of France, made from Gamay grapes.

It's typically light-bodied and fruity, meant to be drunk young rather than aged.

Beaujolais Nouveau, released each November just weeks after harvest, is celebrated with festivities marking the new vintage: We opened a bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau on the third Thursday of November.
