Greek Orthodox
Byzantine church tradition
Greek Orthodox refers to the Eastern Orthodox Christian churches with Greek cultural and liturgical heritage, including the Church of Greece and the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
The term distinguishes these churches from other Orthodox traditions (Russian, Serbian, etc.) and from Roman Catholicism.
Greek Orthodox services use Byzantine rites and often the Greek language: a Greek Orthodox wedding, raised Greek Orthodox.
