Eucharist
Consecrated bread, wine
The Eucharist is the central sacrament of Christian worship, commemorating Jesus's Last Supper with his disciples.
Participants consume consecrated bread and wine (or grape juice), which different traditions understand variously as literally becoming Christ's body and blood or symbolically representing them.
Also called Holy Communion or the Lord's Supper.
She received the Eucharist at morning Mass. (Lowercase eucharist is a rare variant.)
