Buddhism
Four Noble Truths
Buddhism is a religion and philosophy founded in ancient India, based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha.
Its core concerns are suffering, its causes, and liberation from it through ethical conduct, meditation, and wisdom.
Buddhism spread across Asia in diverse forms—Theravada, Mahayana, Zen—and has gained Western adherents drawn to its psychological emphasis and lack of a creator deity.
