Serbia
Landlocked European republic
Serbia is a country in southeastern Europe, located in the Balkans on the Balkan Peninsula.
It was formerly part of Yugoslavia until that federation dissolved in the 1990s, and it remains central to discussions of Balkan history and politics.
Belgrade is its capital and largest city.
We traveled through Serbia on our way to Greece.
Serbian cuisine features grilled meats and rich pastries.
