Boomers

Green-gold basketball squad

Boomers is shorthand for baby boomers—the generation born roughly 1946–1964, during the post-World War II surge in births.

The term often carries generational tension, with younger people using it dismissively to characterize attitudes they find outdated or self-satisfied: OK boomer.

Boomers themselves may use it neutrally or with pride.
