Dismissing atmospheric science
Climate denial is rejection or dismissal of the scientific consensus that human activity is causing global climate change.
The term usually carries critical connotations, implying willful disregard of evidence rather than honest skepticism: Climate denial has delayed meaningful policy action for decades.
Those accused of it often prefer "climate skeptic."
