transitive
Requires direct object
Transitive describes actions that pass from a doer to a receiver.
In grammar, a transitive verb takes a direct object: She kicked the ball.
An intransitive verb doesn't: He sleeps.
Many verbs work both ways depending on context.
In math and logic, a transitive relation means if A relates to B and B relates to C, then A relates to C.
