transitively
By logical extension
In grammar, transitively describes a verb used with a direct object—the action passes to something: The verb "eat" is used transitively in "She ate the apple".
More broadly, transitively means in a way that transfers or passes through: in logic and mathematics, if A relates to B and B relates to C, and A therefore relates to C, the relation holds transitively.
