title-page

Opening identification leaf

A title-page is the page at the beginning of a book that displays the work's title, author, publisher, and often the date of publication.

It serves as the book's formal identification and typically faces the copyright page.

In older books, title-pages were often elaborately designed and might include decorative elements, epigraphs, or extended subtitles.

The title-page listed three co-authors.
