Four equal sides
Squares is the plural of square—a four-sided figure with equal sides and right angles, or anything resembling one: city squares, square tiles, the squares on a checkerboard.
A square is also someone considered old-fashioned or socially out of touch: Don't be such a square.
The verb squares means to make even or settle: That squares our account.
To square with something is to align or agree: His story doesn't square with the evidence.
