Nine-by-nine logic

Sudoku is a logic puzzle played on a nine-by-nine grid divided into nine smaller boxes.

The goal is to fill each row, column, and box with the digits one through nine, using each digit exactly once.

Puzzles begin with some numbers already placed, and solvers deduce the rest through elimination: I do the sudoku in the morning paper, She's addicted to sudoku apps.
