seminary
Clergy training institution
A seminary is a school that trains students for religious ministry, especially for the priesthood or rabbinate.
The word comes from a root meaning "seed"—a place where future clergy are cultivated.
By extension, seminary can mean any school or academy, though this older sense is now rare: a seminary for young ladies.
