diploma
Framed academic document
A diploma is an official document certifying that someone has completed a course of study or earned a degree: She framed her high school diploma.
The word can refer to the physical certificate or to the qualification itself.
In American usage, diploma often specifically means a high school credential, while college completion yields a degree—though both come with diplomas.
