church
Sunday morning destination
A church is a building where Christians gather for worship.
The word extends to the congregation itself Our church is hosting a food drive and to organized Christianity more broadly the separation of church and state.
To church someone, now rare, is to bring them to church for a ceremony—historically, a new mother's first attendance after childbirth. (Capitalized Church often refers to a specific denomination or the Catholic Church.)
