school
Where pupils learn
A school is an institution or setting where instruction is given.
In American English, school is used generally to designate education from early childhood through university.
In British English, school is more likely to refer to places and experiences up to the end of secondary education.
When school precedes another noun the resulting compound is usually about an entity or activity closely associated with elementary and secondary education: school lunch, school teacher, school uniform.
When someone is schooled in a subject, that are instructed in it, or are very experienced in and knowledgeable about it.
