discipleship
Learning under masters
Discipleship is the state or practice of being a disciple—a devoted follower who learns from and commits to a teacher, leader, or set of teachings.
The term appears most often in religious contexts, particularly Christianity, where it describes the process of following Jesus and growing in faith.
The church offered a discipleship program for new believers.
More broadly, discipleship can refer to any relationship of dedicated learning and imitation between mentor and student.
