WPA2

Wireless network protection

WPA2 is a wireless security protocol that encrypts data transmitted over Wi-Fi networks.

It replaced the weaker WPA and WEP standards and remains the baseline for secure home and business networks: Make sure your router is set to WPA2 at minimum.

WPA3 is the newer standard but not yet universal.
