crossfeed
Route between systems
Crossfeed is a system that transfers fuel, air, or other substances between separate compartments or engines.
In aviation, crossfeed valves allow fuel to flow from one wing tank to engines on the opposite side: The pilot activated crossfeed to balance the fuel load.
In audio, crossfeed blends left and right stereo channels slightly, mimicking how speakers sound compared to headphones—reducing listener fatigue during long sessions.
